Create A.I. Music for 50% Royalties!
Elon Musk & Grimes both make use of A.I.

Grimes takes ghostwriting to new levels with A.I.
As we're all aware, Billionaire and Twitter CEO Elon Musk has been deeply involved in the artificial intelligence space for quite some time. Well due to a recent Tweet, it seems like some of that passion may have rubbed off on the mother of two of his children, as pop music sensation Grimes expressed interest in utilizing A.I. voice cloning technology to expand her music catalog.
The pop singer announced that she's open to the masses cloning her voice using new A.I. tech to create new songs and is willing to split the royalties 50/50 for any successful AI-generated track featuring her vocals. As we wrote about last week, the music industry has shown concern with the rise of AI-generated songs using artists' voices; Grimes says bring it on!
The deep-faked track featuring Drake and The Weeknd, got pulled from all streaming services after going ultra-viral. Grimes' move however is simply to embrace this transition and hope it adds to her reach, influence and ultimately her bottom line. It makes one question though, what becomes the value? Is it the artist themselves, their level of creativity or as long as it sounds about right, we're satisfied?
In her tweet, Grimes declared that she's excited about the idea of open-sourcing art and dismantling copyright. She's working on a program to simulate her voice and might even release acappella tracks for fans to train their AI software on. The talented artist is no stranger to exploring the relationship between humans and machines. Her music often delves into the ethical dilemmas surrounding A.I., and she's even collaborated with mood music company Endel to create an AI-generated lullaby for her child. So, get ready for an exciting new chapter in music, as Grimes blazes the trail for A.I. collaborations. Who knows what incredible tunes this fusion of human artistry and cutting-edge tech will produce!

Instagram bio gets a new upgrade!
Creators celebrate this past week, as Instagram will now allow us to add up to five links in our bios, making it easier than ever to direct our community to external content! Creators often send followers to other social profiles, blogs, shops or subscriptions, so making this move on behalf of the creator economy is a huge win!
This move seems to be aimed at competing, or at least taking it's real-estate back from popular link-in-bio platforms like Linktree, Koji, Bento and Beacons. Over the past couple of years, at least seven link-in-bio platforms have raised more than $200 million in venture capital funding. The industry has seen rapid growth, with at least 30 companies now offering link-in-bio tools. Despite the new feature, existing link-in-bio tools don't see this as an existential threat. They argue that their true value lies in the analytics provided to creators and content partners, allowing insights across multiple online platforms.
Instagram's new feature is designed to keep users in the app as long as possible. The links open within Instagram, requiring users to return to the app to view another link. Additionally, the link homepage isn't customizable.
In short, Instagram's multi-link feature is a welcome addition for creators who want a more seamless experience within the app. However, it might not be enough to dethrone specialized link-in-bio platforms that offer advanced customization and analytics. Keep an eye on this space as competition heats up and platforms continue to evolve!
